The bar gives its address as 2 High Level Parade rather than a Wellington Street number: a sign over two of the arches names that stretch High Level Parade, and it is the name to give a taxi or courier. Named CAMRA Gateshead pub of the year 2023, with a resident pub dog, Harriet. The bar also claims a walk-on part in local song history as the snack bar in Lindisfarne’s Fog on the Tyne, which is the bar’s story rather than something this site has checked.

It calls itself “a small bar that sometimes has live music” rather than a venue; the current listings are for Sunday afternoons at 16:00. The music page has the dates, and Facebook has the latest news. Email: admin@microbus.pub.
