A bar and bottle shop in the arch that was formerly Arch Sixteen Café. Its nine taps carry a constantly rotating range of craft beer styles, alongside an ever-changing list of wines from small winemakers, including natural, orange and pét-nat wines by the glass. The bar snacks lean Spanish: Gordal olives, Spanish almonds, gildas, Iberian ham, Torres crisps and local sausage rolls. The menu changes often, so the sample menu on its website is a guide rather than a promise.

It is run by a couple who met behind the bar of a Sydney brewery, and it is modelled on the relaxed bars they knew in Australia and New Zealand; staff are happy to give recommendations and tasters. Hours can vary: Axis asks people to check its social media or Google for changes. Email info@axisbeer.com.
