Market stalls in coloured gazebos and a food van along the Newcastle Quayside under a row of trees, people browsing and sitting at tables, the stone Guildhall with its clock turret behind, the Tyne Bridge's north tower and green arch to the right, and the river at low tide below the quay wall
The Quayside Market from the Swing Bridge on a Sunday, with the Guildhall behind and the Tyne Bridge. October 2026.

A street market every Sunday along the Newcastle side of the river, run by Newcastle City Council. The stalls start beside the Guildhall at the north end of the Swing Bridge and run east under the trees past the Tyne Bridge, towards the Millennium Bridge: hot food, crafts, gifts, clothes and bric-a-brac. From the estate, walk down Bridge Street and over the Swing Bridge.

It runs from 9am to 4pm. Some listings say 9.30am, but the market opens at 9. Dates around Christmas and New Year can change.
