The name

Named for No. 60151 Midlothian, a Peppercorn A1 built at Darlington in June 1949 and named at Doncaster in 1951 — a Scott name, from The Heart of Midlothian. One of the twelve A1s allocated new to Gateshead shed, 52A, where it stayed until May 1960, returning for a final spell in 1964–65. Withdrawn November 1965 and scrapped at Wath-on-Dearne.
