A six- and seven-storey block of flats on a sloping street: red brick with a green-clad corner tower, black metal balconies and a wavy roofline, above a high blank brick wall and ground-floor service doors; a stone building with tall glazed gables at the far right
Curzon Place from the street: the taller brick and green-clad building. September 2026.

Not one of the Ochre Yards blocks: Curzon Place has its own management company, incorporated in November 2002, whose registered office is care of Block Living. It is two buildings, a smaller stone-built block with a tall glazed gable and a taller brick and clad block behind; OpenStreetMap labels them flats 1–104 and 105–125, and the council’s address register agrees: 125 flats, split across two postcodes, NE8 2ER (65) and NE8 2ES (60). The walk-through from Wellington Street comes down two flights of steps, one either side of the smaller building. When it was built is still to be recorded.

The smaller Curzon Place building: a four-storey red-brick range with stone quoins and a stone end wall, its gable end filled by two tall glazed gables in black frames, with a broad flight of steps and a gate on the left and the stone railway arches behind on the right

The smaller Curzon Place building, with its glazed double gable and one of the flights of steps up towards Wellington Street. September 2026.
