About
Data sources
Every live widget and every static dataset on the site, with its licence. Attribution is a condition of most of these licences, so this page is part of the deal.

| data.police.uk | Street-level crime inside the district boundary, counted by category per month and kept as a series from August 2023 (the API's own window is 36 months). Only counts are stored. Shown on the crime page with the lag and location-snapping caveats. · OGL v3 cron |
| DfT Street Manager open data | Roadworks permits, activities and traffic restrictions within about a mile and a half of the estate, received live from the Department for Transport's feed and shown on the bridge works page. · OGL v3 proxy |
| Environment Agency real-time flood monitoring API | River Tyne level on the home page. Not for safety-critical use: official warnings are on GOV.UK. · OGL v3 (trial service, no SLA) browser |
| Food Standards Agency FHRS API | Hygiene ratings for places that serve food (phase 3). · OGL v3 proxy |
| Gateshead Council bin collection day checker | Checked in September 2026 for every block: the checker has no collection information for the estate's flats, whose communal bins are arranged through the managing agents. Not used for live data. The council's address list behind it gave each block's postcodes and address count. · Council page, no API static |
| Get energy performance of buildings data (MHCLG) | Energy rating bands counted per street, from the latest certificate for each home in the postcodes of the blocks on that street (which can include a few homes outside the blocks). Never per flat; a street with fewer than five certificates is not broken down. Refreshed monthly. · OGL v3 for the ratings; addresses are Ordnance Survey and Royal Mail data, used only to group certificates and never published cron |
| Historic England National Heritage List | Listed buildings and the conservation area, at build time. · OGL v3 static |
| HM Land Registry price paid data | Recent sold prices per street, refreshed monthly at build time (phase 4). · OGL v3 static |
| National Library of Scotland — historic maps | Historic Ordnance Survey town plans and county series used for the history pages, such as the 1896 1:500 plan showing Greenesfield House. Credited on each image. · CC-BY (NLS images of out-of-copyright Ordnance Survey maps) static |
| Nexus Metro real-time information | Links to live Metro departures from Gateshead Interchange (Pop and Travel North East). No live feed on this site: Nexus is not issuing API keys (Oct 2026). · No stated licence; goodwill use, cached |
